Don’t worry, these policies are not full of legalese. Our goal is to provide top-notch service, so we don’t want a bunch of rigid policies to get in the way of that. Instead, we see these policies as a way to clarify our services and avoid misunderstandings.

We value your time and therefore give you a narrow window of arrival time for your appointment. You can help us by valuing our time as well. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible.

Cancellations less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment are subject to a cancellation fee equal to your house call fee.

We charge this fee because your appointment reserves our time to be with you and your pets at your home. That time slot is not available for us to offer to other clients in the interim. A cancellation within a day or two of the appointment, therefore, leaves us with an empty block of time that otherwise could have been offered to other clients but that cannot easily be filled at the last minute, particularly given the logistics of scheduling appointments geographically.

We appreciate your understanding and respect for our time and commitment to your pets.

Wilma, one of our patients from Jamaica Plain.

Payment is due at the end of the visit. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, debit cards, checks, and cash.

Bounced checks are no fun. In addition to any fees imposed on you by your bank, we also charge a fee for bounced checks to cover the fee our bank charges us.

In the event an account is not paid in full, we will reach out to you directly by sending statements and by email or phone. If these efforts don’t work, unpaid accounts will be submitted to a collection agency. We rarely have to take this step, but if we didn’t do this, then the costs of the unpaid accounts would need to be carried by our paying clients in the form of higher fees.

We respect your privacy. We hate spam just as much as you do, so we don’t send it. We do not sell your information. We take security precautions to protect electronic files. We shred paper documents containing detailed client information before recycling them.

Where necessary to help us care for your animals, we may share information with other providers such as veterinarians, pharmacies, and companies directly assisting us in the management of our practice. In using this website, particularly if you create an account and access features available to you once you are logged into the site, we collect the information necessary to provide a customized browsing experience. In doing so, however, our focus is on serving you, and we think keeping your information private is the right way to do that.

You, on the other hand, are welcome to share our contact information with all your friends.
